When a handbag Tells You Not to Use Your Credit Card

With the economy at an all-time low here in Canada, we are all putting a cap on our spending habits. Imagine a “handbag that tells you not to spend money,” (BBC News, 2015)… “Messages, in a voice similar to Ray Winstone, urges would-be spenders to think again before splashing the cash saying: "Don't even think about it" and "Put it down, put it back".

A credit card sits between an LED light and a photo cell, and when the credit card is removed from the bag a signal I received, and it tries to deter you from spending, but rewards you if put the card back in a timely matter. There are a lot of people in society that would benefit from this simple and honest technology. “Rebecca Smith, Leanne Fischler and Kirsty Sneddon created the bag for a fourth year degree project at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design,” (BBC News, 2015). Bow Tie Kreative is very interested in the future of these ladies, and how to combine fashion with technology. It could be used in other fashions such as wallets, backpacks, laptop bags etc. Bow Tie Kreative - Software and Consulting Development Company - collectively rewriting history from the cloud.
