Neil Young Answers the Decline in Quality of Music With New Technology

New technology based on the efficiency and ease of delivery of music streaming and playing. There are a marginal number of people who have noticed a decline in quality of delivery of music. Yes, the Ipod is popular, and a lot of music companies such Songza, A-Trak, Shazam, and I-Tunes have made music more accessible, and cost effective for consumers to pick and choose songs to download instead of entire album. But has the increase in availability of all types of music, in all genres, and lowering of cost also led to the lowering of quality for the consumer’s listening experience.

Recently, Canadian rock legend Neil Young says portable music players have degraded the listening experience, which is why he's backed a new high-resolution music company, PonoMusic, (CBC News, 2015)… The company sells the PonoPlayer, a smartphone-sized device that plays high-quality digital music files. The product launched about a year ago in the U.S. and will begin selling files and players next month in Canada, (2015).

Bow Tie Kreative is very interested in keeping the integrity of the music created, and restoring this quality art from for individuals that value this keepsake. “Young claims that MP3s have less than five per cent of the data found in a vinyl record, and wants to give music fans the same experience that musicians hear through their headphones when recording,” (CBC NEW, 2015)… “The players will be available through Amazon Canada, London Drugs and a Toronto-based electronics store. Music files are available for purchase in the FLAC lossless format at www.Ponomusic.com, (2015).
